Many businesses and organisations find it difficult writing informational content as opposed to traditional advertising or sales copy.
And the creative challenge, sometimes accompanied by the technical challenge of getting an email update out to the database, means that many businesses simply do not communicate effectively or (anything like) often enough.
At NewsBusiness we recommend sending an informational email or newsletter out to your database at least once a month.
These half day workshops on email marketing help you to tackle the creative and technical challenges of sending out these informational updates on a regular basis.
In the workshop we cover:
- what email marketing systems are available and how to choose the right one for you
- setting a system up and segmenting and importing your records
- setting up an email template and which styles are likely to be read the most
- how to decide what to write about
- tips on how to write engaging copy for your updates
- how to check whether it is working - who is reading and who is not, and who is reading what
- an easy way to translate your articles into media releases and get these into the media
These are intensely practical workshops and so we limit numbers at any one workshop to a maximum of fifteen people.
We ask you to bring along your wireless enabled laptop and talk you through signing up to an email marketing service (if you do not already use one).
In the course of the workshop we will help you put together your first draft email update - and even send it out to your database that day if you are ready!
